Born & raised in southern Thailand, Piya inherited the Thai focus on food - to Thais even being a little hungry is considered an emergency!

Piya travelled extensively in Thailand learning regional specialities as she went, before taking her skills to England, where she extended her repertoire to include the best of European cooking. Here she met James, before they both moved to the USA in 2008, for what was supposed to be just be a couple of years.. 

Piya's food has delighted many around the world, her attention to detail is evident when you taste her food, as the best ingredients are always selected, and the food is always fresh and cooked with love and care.

Thai food has a reputation of being very spicy, but there are many milder but fabulous tasting dishes, and Piya always ensures there is something that will suit every taste.  As the restaurant name suggests there will be a diverse choice on Piya's menu. 

In our new venture in DC, as well as our Thai restaurant we will be ‘thaiversifying’ by including a British Pub with classic fayre. Our culinary team is expanded by the addition of Sorakom ‘Ram’ Keawsamerta who has also travelled extensively while learning his craft and was a finalist in 2021’s Masterchef Thailand and also in the Washoku World Challenge, so bringing a wealth of experience and new dimension to the range of delicacies on offer!
